Bought this one conveyable outside strenuously drive to back up my aperture photo library on my mac pro. The reason i wanted a conveyable hdd was to keep a back up of my photo library off-site via doing a back up once a week.mounting to a mac running os x 10.5.8 (leopard) was no problem as a result the drive was immediately detected as a result shown as toshiba. The box states Toshiba 640 GB HDDR640E04XR cooperative with os x 10.4 as a result windows xp/vista as a result will presumably work with a windows 7 as a result a linux os. The usb 2.0 interface is fast as a result the drive itself does not require outside power as it comes from the usb interface. The usb 2.0 cable is included with this one hdd, although its short. When accessing the drive for read/write there is a blue led which indicates activity. The well-mannered thing is that this one drive doesn’t seem to gratify hot as a result aesthetically is quite appealing in its blue color. Fit as a result finish is superb as well.
